Sleep Tight! 5 Simple Steps for a Good Night’s Sleep

Sleep Tight! 5 Simple Steps for a Good Night’s Sleep

In our fast-paced, ever connected world it can be hard to switch off and get a good night’s sleep. Practicing good sleep hygiene and getting yourself into a good routine in the hours before bed can make a big difference. We’ve put together our top tips for setting yourself up for a good night’s sleep. Unlocking your best tomorrow.®

  1. Make a conscious effort to reduce screentime. Pare down your social media feeds, create screen-free zones in your home, turn off your notifications in the hours before bed. Not only does reducing screen time help boost your mood and wellbeing but it’ll also help you wind down and support a better night’s sleep.
  2. Even a leisurely 10-minute walk after dinner can help improve your quality of sleep. Just make sure you finish up any high-intensity workouts a few hours before you plan to sleep. That way you’ll give your body time to unwind and relax before bed.
  3. Take a hot bath, add some bubbles or Epsom salts, and relax. Not only is this a great way to relax your muscles and mind, it can also help optimise your body temperature for sleeping.

  1. Take some time to do a deep breathing exercise or mindful meditation or try curling up with a good book and a soothing cup of chamomile tea. If you’re not a chamomile fan, check out T2 or Artemis for some great relaxing blends. Alternatively, a good herbal sleep supplement (our office fav is Me Today Sleep Tight) can help support refreshing and restorative sleep.
  2. Finding a bedtime routine that works for you and sticking to it around the same time each night can work wonders for your mental wellbeing. Whether it’s simply switching off your phone an hour before bed, incorporating herbal sleep supplements and teas, or a more involved routine, prioritising a good night’s sleep will help you start your day feeling refreshed and revived.
